Snow before Christmas

The snow a week before Christmas turned out village in an amazing winter wonderland, lots of fun to be had, until you couldn't feel your fingers and toes.

But I don't think anyone realized at the time it was going to hang around for two whole weeks because the temp didn't get above freezing. We made the national news even for the being the coldest place in the country at -17, unheard of for a coastal town.

My birthday

For my birthday Emma came up from London for the weekend and we headed into Liverpool for some shopping, the wonders of shopping without children, eg pushchair, changing bag, snacks, drinks, kitchen sink.

On Sunday we braved the cold weather for a little trip to the beach to show Emma the Iron Men and then onto the garden centre to see the reindeer, and to transform Maddie into a Puddy Cat.

My mum and dad came over to england for most of september, only the third time to seeing Maddie and the first time meeting Caleb.

Too much to do and not enough time, Dad did a brilliant job tidying up outside for us.
