Santa Dash
Yesterday was quite an unexpected day, Kev was doing his Santa Dash in central Liverpool and the weather forecast was terrible. I woke up at 5am to rain, hail and wind dreading the day ahead. The weather was pretty bad for the race but there was something about 8000 people dressed as Santa running around the streets of Liverpool that made me smile. Both the kids loved it and the rain didn't seem to dampen anyone's enthusiasm. All the Christmas decorations and lights twinkled against the grey sky and the Christmas huts selling sweets, chocolates, candles, wreaths and decorations smelt lovely. All of it just inspired me and made me feel so happy and festive.
But probably my happiest moment was watching my two little children walking hand and hand through the puddles amonst all the Christmas shoppers both just soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the adventure of the day.

Christmas Is Coming
I don't normally start thinking about Christmas until after my birthday at the end of the month, but this year I've decided to do a scrapbooking Christmas journal. A bit of preparation is needed though if I've got any chance of actually doing it through December so I decided to do my Journal dates over the weekend.
I have to credit Shimelle who is my scrapbooking idol and inspiration at the moment who runs the online christmas journal classes.
at the moment I can only scrapbook late at night when everyone is asleep! |

Birthday Celebrations
Caleb's birthday Dinosaurs from Nanny and Grandad enjoying breakfast with him |
a little bit embarrassed about this cake, but by the time I came to ice it I was exhausted and just threw icing and sweets at it. Caleb loved it though |

Trick or Treat
A very low key Halloween for us this year, with me incapacitated!! and it being a school night. But Grandma came to the rescue with lots of goodies and a special tea for us all. Maddie and Caleb just had to dress up too, although wouldn't really keep still for long enough for a decent photo.
We had a few trick or treaters but not enough to get rid of all the sweets that I have to hide from the kids now.

Boys and Their Toys
Kev hired this contraption a few weeks ago to do the lawn, Caleb couldn't wait to have a go. No going on the grass again for another 3 months, why are men so obsessed with lawns or is it just my husband?

Not my little baby anymore
After so many people commenting on my son being a little girl , I decided it was definitely time for a cut. He looks more like a little boy now, I'm not sure if I want him to grow up. But first a few long haired photos.

I was unpacking the groceries and turned around and there he was muching on the strawberries |

An All Black?
Our household is definitely a Kiwi household for this Rugby World Cup, Kev has even admitted he wants NZ to win, even if its a NZ v England final.
Even though he's a British Citizen, and never been to NZ, he definitely looks like an All Black in the making, after all, he is half kiwi!

Big School Girl
It's hard to believe but Maddie started school on Monday, she was so excited about it, not nervous at all, and no tears from anyone. (thats me included)
A new playground
I've just discovered a playground near our place, typical, the last day of the school holidays, we always drive past the park all the time but I didn't realize there was such a big playground at the back of it. Its brilliant for under 5s, lots of small equipment.
