A trip to the Seaside

We took a little day trip to seaside - West Mersea, about an hours drive from our place, when the tide comes in it sometimes becomes an island and the road in and out is inpassable. Despite being the middle of summer and the school holidays the beach was pretty much deserted, not surprising considering the weather.

Maddie's childminder was away for the week, so Grandma came down to look after Maddie.

Big Bike Ride

Kev's parents brought down the tandem bike and they used our bikes and the three of us went on the tandem for a bike ride along the river, with a picnic half way. 11 miles in total.
