Scrapbook Starting Points

I managed to sneak a quick page in today, thanks to a compliment about my scrapbooking from a friend (thanks Becks) which inspired me and one of Shimelle's Scrapbook Starting Points
This photo is not the best quality, I took it on my phone in a very dark room, but it was a photo that I didn't want to lose or forget about because I felt in was an important event in Maddie's life that she would like to look back on.
I've got so many old papers that I need to use up, its embarrassing, Basic Grey papers from 2008!! so I used a few of those and added a thin strip of lilybee paper and some washi tape and a few sequins and gems.

Scrapbook Page for the Weekend

Another weekend Scrapbook Page done thanks to Shimelle and her Sketch to Scrapbook Challenge.
I used the Dear Lizzy neopolitan range with the papers and other bits and pieces from my stash.
I've actually manged to scrap 5 pages so far this month, which is something I haven't done in a long time.  It took me awhile to get the layout right for this, I often find I just can't simply copy it exactly as it just doesn't look right and once I accept that and go with my own style the page seems to fly together.

Shimelle's Starting Point Scapbook Page

Another Scrapbooking challenge from Shimelle
I decided I had to do two pages, because both the kids start objecting if I'm only scrapbooking one of them.  The challenge was with a subtle background paper and three other pieces of paper as below in Shimelle's photo, with Caleb's I went for plain white cardstock but used some glimmer mist.  My mission for the next few months is to scrap all my old photos before I start on new projects.

Some scrapbooking at last, its been awhile but I had a chance to scrapbook a page in the weekend, with the help of Shimelle and her sketch to scrapbook page ideas



As I was doing this page, I realized the photographs were almost a year old, I can't believe how fast time goes and how much Caleb has grown.

I've got so many photos I need to scrapbook, and lots of old papers to use up, especially before the craft show in London.

This one has a bit of Studio Calico B side and some of American Crafts Dear Lizzy's new range which I absolutely love. Its Shimelle's from last week.

I came across these two photos on Sunday of my baby brother and sister-in-law, I've been meaning to scrap them for ages.  I've been thinking about them a lot lately and can't wait to see them at the end of the year.
